FOSTER CARE COLEGE
The Problem
The foster care system has the ability to provide financial assistance for kids that have turned 18 years of age but our system was never designed to support the young adults after they aged out of the current foster care model. For the kids that have aged out of foster care in the last 50 years the stats are not in our favor. (Get data)
The Solution : foster care college
So, what are we going to do about it? We’re taking the next step in our mission — and it’s a big one. Help2Others is embarking on a biblical journey to build a Foster Care College.
What does that mean? It means we’re creating a village built on faith, love, and purpose, where mentorship, trade skills, and spiritual growth come together. This village, campus, and community is of, about and all for the children. What we are going to create is a community that we all live in that revolves around foster children and our ability to positively affect a child’s life and teach them to support themselves and navigate the world.
foster care college : creating opportunity
As a bonus, we will create a Big Hellacious Audacious Goal; the mountain will eventually have its own revenue stream which will be overseen by the very foster kids that went through the program. Our ultimate goal is to help these children help themselves and others like them while creating a place where they are Loved and Supported for whatever they bring to the table.
faith and growth
I wish that I could tell you that I had all of the details worked out but that wouldn’t be true. Also, if you don’t leave room for faith to show itself then you’ll never see faith in action. And as God is my witness I will show you just how powerful faith can be. For now, I would love it if you signed up for our email campaign where I simply update you on things that are going on with all three of my favorite organizations.
